I am all things creative.
I am a User Experience Designer by trade. That means I must empathize with the user, and figure out what it takes to make their experience better when using an app or system. I spend a great deal of time mapping their pain points, and trying to overcome friction that inevitably works its way into every system.
Ultimately, I’m happiest when I’m tinkering with a design: exploring it, tweaking it, testing it in front of users. I prototype in tools such as Framer, Invision and Axure in order to really nail down complex interaction designs. I have worked in UX for the past five years, since graduating from the Centre for Digital Media.
At Elastic Path, an ecommerce company, I established the first UX processes and managed the corporate website like a product – breaking it down into elements, functionality and states. Outside of Elastic Path, I’ve spent time designing experiences for web, mobile, large touchscreens, voice assistants, museum exhibits and outdoor light installations.
Prior to receiving my Masters Degree, I worked for seven years in the visual effects industry, working on films such as Iron Man III, Thor: The Dark World and 300: Rise of an Empire. I’ve designed websites, marketing materials, videos and motion graphics for clients, both as an independent contractor as well as part of larger studios.
I am currently available for work opportunities! If you’re interested in seeing my CV, don’t hesitate to contact me.
